Reno Housing Authority Waitlists Open

RENO, Nev. — The Reno Housing Authority (RHA) opened waitlists on March 3, 2025 at 8 a.m. PST for the following sites:

• All Public Housing sites

• Project Based Assistance

• Silverada Manor Project Based Assistance

• Pilgrims Rest Project Based Assistance for 62 years and older

Housing choice voucher waitlists are not open at this time.

For programs and site descriptions or to apply, visit RenoHA.org. Applicants may also apply via RHA’s Kiosks located at the Downtown Library, 301 S. Center St., Reno or at RHA’s main office, 1525 E. 9th Street, Reno.

The waitlists are set to close April 25, 2025 at 5 p.m. PDT.

“Submitting an application is the first step for individuals and families who may be struggling to secure affordable housing,” said Executive Director Hilary Lopez, Ph.D.

Submitting an application will not house someone tomorrow but it begins the process to obtain permanent affordable housing for low-income households. All who are interested are encouraged to apply for the programs that best fit their needs and, for several waitlists. Upon application receipt staff will determine eligibility for specific waitlists.

Lopez said, “No one creates more perpetually sustaining, permanent affordable housing in Washoe County than the Reno Housing Authority. We provide solutions to our area’s housing needs through our public housing, rental assistance programs, and expanded housing opportunities, helping fulfill a basic need in Northern Nevada.”

RHA offers language assistance, including interpretation and translation services, to applicants who are limited English proficient.
