RHA Public Housing Waitlists Open for Family Properties

The Reno Housing Authority opened waitlists today, March 27, 2023, for public housing family complexes today. Individuals may access https://www.renoha.org/for-applicants/ to apply. The waitlists are set to close April 14, 2023.

RENO, Nev. — The Reno Housing Authority opened waitlists March 27, 2023, for public housing family complexes. Individuals may access RenoHA.org/applicants/ to apply, call 775.329.3630 or visit the RHA main office at 1525 E. 9th Street in Reno. The waitlists are set to close April 21, 2023.

“Opening the waitlists provides an additional resource to individuals and families struggling to secure affordable housing in Washoe County,” said Executive Director Hilary Lopez, Ph.D.

While submitting an application will not house someone tomorrow, it begins the process to obtain permanent affordable housing for low-income households, which is the mission of the RHA. Households are encouraged to apply for the programs that best fit their housing needs and should apply for several waitlists.

Lopez said, “The Reno Housing Authority is a huge resource in our community. We provide solutions to our area’s housing needs through vouchers for homeless veterans, emergency rental assistance and permanent affordable housing to our low-income residents.”

RHA offers language assistance, including interpretation and translation services, to applicants who are limited English proficient. Additionally, if you are a person with a disability who requires special accommodation in order to have equal access to RHA’s programs, please call 775-329-3630, come to our office, or notify us in the manner most convenient for you.

Reno Housing Authority helps more than 9,000 people each year secure safe, quality housing through a variety of programs.

To qualify, all households must meet income and other eligibility requirements. Visit RenoHA.org
